Description
This sporty stripes black and emerald green mod 1960s dress is deadstock, never worn, with its original tags still attached. It has an overall tubular or straight silhouette, with a hint of shaping from darts at bust and back waist. The unlined, semi-sheer black acetate jersey knit fabric does have some stretch to it, so I have given a range of measurements. However, this shift-style dress was intended to fit a bit loosely, originally, so bear this in mind when checking for fit. The bright green appliquéd stripes extend down from the round neckline, to circle around the low waist or high hip, depending on how tall you are. The dress fastens in back with a metal zipper. I have mended a small hole in the fabric at the back of the right shoulder. This mend is fairly well hidden by the texture of the knit fabric, but take a look at my close-up photo to see it clearly. In very good, unworn condition, this mod 1960s day dress is labeled a vintage size 18, or approximately a modern M to L. Please see the detailed measurements below, for more info about fit.
