Description

This 1970s pant by Anne Klein is clearly inspired by the drapey, wide-leg ladies’ trousers of the 1930s and 40s. Made of lightweight black rayon crepe fabric, the pant has a slightly curved, clean, no-waistband waist that will sit just a smidge below the natural waist when worn. The pant fastens with a nylon zipper at the center back, and is fully lined in black (acetate or rayon, blend?) taffeta. The straight, wide legs appear cropped on my tall mannequin. On me, at 5 foot 2 inches, they are full length. So, if you are a petite, they will be about ankle-length, or a bit lower. On a taller person, the hem will hit well above the ankle, as shown. A cropped (or not!) wide-leg black pant that can be dressed up or down with ease—you can go from cocktail attire to casual wear with a change of top and accessories! This very versatile and well-made 1970s pant by American designer Anne Klein is in excellent condition, freshly dry-cleaned, with no issues to note.
