Description
This sleeveless black velvet 1960s shift dress is ornamented with sparkling bands of metallic gold braid, studded with iridescent rhinestones. The otherwise straight silhouette has a bit of gathering below the round neckline in front. The applied gold braid trim circles the neckline and extends down both side seams, from arm opening to the knee-length hem. The rhinestones are prong set into the braid, for added sturdiness. The plush black rayon velvet fabric of the dress is fully lined with black rayon taffeta. A nylon zipper closes the dress at center back. This 1960s cocktail dress is in excellent condition and would be a perfect holiday party or New Year’s Eve outfit choice. The tubular shape of the dress is narrowest at the hips, but its loose fit through the waist leaves plenty of room for any extra holiday eating!
