An elegant extra layer for your favorite fancy attire! This beautiful bright blue silk satin mid-century evening wrap or stole is backed with sheer pink silk organza, which appears lilac since the blue silk shows through. It dates from the mid 1950s or early 1960s, I believe, based on the style and fabrics used. Freshly dry-cleaned and in very good condition, this luxurious 1950s-60s sapphire blue silk satin shawl has a small area of faint water marks, unlikely to be noticed when it is worn. This is located near the center back, in my back-view photos on the mannequin. Also see my close-up photo, lightened to show detail better. The pink/lilac organza side of the stole is equally pretty, if you prefer to wear it reversed. Designed to wrap over the shoulders, the stole or shawl has no fastenings. I have shown it pinned closed with a 1950s blue rhinestone brooch as an example of how to wear it. Although not included, the brooch is available if you are interested!
