Description
Chunky-heeled peeptoe pumps from the late 1940s or early 1950s, these black leather women’s heels feature cute little bows and pierced cutouts on the panel above their open toes. Freshly reconditioned by a cobbler, the shoes look great! The leather uppers are pliable and shiny. The peep-toe pumps are partially lined in leather, and partially in fabric, with leather soles and (replaced) manmade insoles. Gently worn and very well-cared-for, these true vintage heels are in very good to excellent condition. The only signs of wear are some perfectly normal scuffs on the surface of the leather soles and heel tips. There is a bit of glue visible on the inside only, along the edges of the replacement insoles. Labeled a vintage size 9 AA/AAA, they probably fit more like a modern size 8 narrow (see measurements, below). For reference, I wear a modern 8.5-9 narrow and they fit me, but are a bit too short.
Size 8 narrow to possibly 8.5 narrow.
- Length of insole, toe to heel: 9.75 inches.
- Width across sole at ball of foot: 2.75 inches.
- Heel height: 2.5 inches.
- Label: Vamos Lastex on fabric lining. Original manufacturer’s info would have been on (replaced) original insoles
