Description

One of the earlier signed Coro pieces I have acquired, this circa 1930s dress clip is made of gold-tone-plated, stamped metal with a romantic, floral design. The 3-dimensional rosette or flower at the top of the clip is echoed by the flowers engraved onto the ribbons that hang below it. It is similar in shape to a prize ribbon—a true vintage winner! The hinged clip on the back has a patent number applied for in 1931 and granted in 1932. However, the clip may date a bit later than that, even into the early 1940s. This sweet and lovely, lightweight metal flower dress clip can be used on your favorite dress, gown, suit lapel, hat or even handbag. In very good condition, the clip shows some wear to its gold-tone finish, with the silver-tone metal underneath showing through, from age and normal use. Otherwise, this c. 1930s signed Coro dress clip looks great, its patented clip spring very sturdy.
