Description
This calfskin and saddle tan leather 1950s or 60s large clutch handbag features rawhide lacing on all edges—a true vintage, rockabilly western style! Often called “pony” or “ponyskin” the furry calfskin of the envelope clutch bag’s front flap is a rich dark brown and a creamy off-white, backed with tan leather. The flap closes with a metal snap. The suede leather interior of the clutch is unlined, just the back side of the sturdy leather exterior. In very good to excellent condition, the only issue to note is that the lower edges of the front flap are slightly curled upwards from the bag’s long storage. This vintage cowgirl calfskin and leather clutch purse is a relatively large size for the era, designed for casual daytime use.
