Description
This off-white, deadstock 1940s full slip by Barbizon is made of their proprietary (and lovely!) rayon satin fabric. The elegantly simple slip has extra-narrow straps above diamond-shaped bust panels. Below the underbust seam, the liquid satin fabric is bias-cut, with some give to the fabric (see range of measurements). The slip has no fastenings, designed to pull on over the head. The skinny straps are not adjustable, although they could be shortened pretty easily if needed. In excellent condition with its original paper tag, this liquid satin 1940s full slip was unworn when found, but has been gently hand-laundered for freshness.
Size: XS-S (labeled vintage size 36 medium).
- Bust: 38 inches pulled flat, to fit up to approx. 36.
- Waist: 28 inches flat, stretching up to 30 max. Best fit for approx. 26-28.
- Hip: 36 inches flat, stretching up to 40 max. Best fit for approx. 34-37.
- Length: 44 inches from top of shoulder strap to hem in front.
