This luxe black eelskin shoulder bag dates from the late 1970s or very early 80s. The envelope style features a snap-closed front flap. The lower part of the front flap is a stylized bamboo shape trimmed with shiny metal accents. This rigid flap edge makes closing the bag with the magnetic snap a bit easier. Lined in black suede, the bag has 2 outer and 1 inner pocket. The outer pocket on its back side is also closed with a magnetic snap; the inner pocket zips closed. The bag hangs from a long, skinny leather strap, to wear cross-body or over one shoulder. If you’ve never handled an eelskin purse before, you will be pleasantly surprised at the softness of this exotic leather—it feels amazing! In excellent condition, this late 70s or very early 80s black eelskin handbag has no issues to note.
