Description
This prairie-style 70s party dress or festival-ready maxi features a wide flounce at the hem and a cute lace-trimmed capelet draped over the sleeveless, high-waisted bodice. A triangular lace panel is inset below the high, Nehru-style collar in front. The sheer, lemon yellow nylon tricot fabric of the dress is fully lined with yellow acetate taffeta. The wide waist panel has ties to cinch the dress in back. This sweet 70s maxi dress fastens in back with a nylon zipper. Based on its small and short-waisted fit, the dress was likely designed as a junior style for the youth market or the era: think prom or other teenage party dress occasion. It is in very good condition, with some faint marks at the hem and 1 nearly invisible mend on the sheer lace panel (see photos). These minor flaws are unlikely to be noticed when the dress is worn.
