Description

This cropped, lightweight casual jacket from the 1970s is closely copying a zip-front style from the 1930s or 40s—a popular design trend of that time! Its long, pointed collar, high and fitted elastic waistband hem, slightly puffed long sleeves with elastic cuffs, and metal front zipper closure are all elements that were present in ladies’ jackets from the earlier era, too. The lightweight fabric feels like a blend of cotton and rayon. It pairs blue and green plaid on the jacket’s front with dark red floral on its back side. I love how this makes the sleeves half and half! The lightweight jacket is fully lined with purple acetate taffeta (that may have once been navy blue). This probable fading to the ling fabric, and a tiny bit of wear to the inside of the waistband (at the edge of the right front hem only) are 2 minor flaws to note. The jacket is in very good condition, freshly dry-cleaned, sturdy and quite wearable, with no other issues.
