Description
This deadstock 1960s cardigan sweater in three great neutral shades of 100 percent wool is knit in a fisherman’s rib pattern. In a neat twist on the usual ribbed texture, the knitted ribs run vertically on the sleeves and horizontally on the body of the cardigan. This slouchy, loose-fitting sweater has no fastenings, just draping partially closed in front when worn. The front opening has small notches on each side, below the Nehru-style collar. The hem is straight, at about hip level. The knit wool is a mid to heavy weight, and is unlined. This casually chic 1960s black, rust, and cream striped wool cardigan is in excellent to mint condition, deadstock/unworn, with no flaws to note. Throw it on over almost any outfit—this true vintage cardigan sweater will become your favorite sustainable wardrobe staple in no time!
