Description

This permanently pleated, sheer nylon tricot 1950s nightgown is a lovely shade of soft pastel blue-green. It was made by Vanity Fair, the lingerie company that pioneered the use of permanent pleating in their 1950s nylon lingerie creations. The nightgown features a deeply scooped neckline with ruffled cap sleeves. The fitted waist is cinched in with an attached taffeta ribbon sash. The bodice and full-length skirt section are both pleated in front, while the sides and back are simply sheer nylon. The ribbon sash is attached about 1-inch above the typical natural waist height. In excellent condition, this true vintage 1950s crystal pleated nightgown is fabulously feminine, and somewhat flexible in size due to the stretch in the pleated front section (see measurements).
