Description

This unique, abstract floral bouquet brooch from the 1930s features clear, faceted plastic ovals and molded black glass circles attached to a C-clasp pinback via flexible brass wire stems and leafy brass findings. The brooch has a surrealist vibe, weird and a bit spiky and dangerous-looking! All of the wired plastic and glass “petals” are flexible, to shape as you choose. Some of the brass wires are more twisty than others, but I can’t be sure of its original design. In very good condition, this unusual brooch or pin from the 1930s shows minor wear to the surface and edges of the clear plastic (lucite?) ovals from age and storage. The brooch is relatively heavy, and would work best pinned to a a suit, jacket, or coat lapel.
