Description
This breezy 80s floral print dress features a large-scale print of peach and blue poppies with khaki and green leaves, on a white background. The floral print is accented with a striped diagonal panel angled from the left waist to the right hip, in some of the same pastel shades. The dress has a cap-sleeved, “blouson” bodice slightly draped over and gathered into a fitted elastic waist. Below the fitted striped panel, the midi-length skirt is semi-full, with large flat pleats. The wide shoulders have big shoulder pads. The dress is lined in the bodice section only with white acetate taffeta. I believe that the linen-textured, mid-weight floral and stripe fabrics are also acetate, or an acetate and rayon blend.
The dress fastens with 2 nylon zippers: one at the back of the neck and another at the left side of the skirt, below the several snaps and hooks closing the left side of the bodice. The “ties” on the striped waist panel are decorative. In near excellent condition, appearing unworn, the only issue to note with this sweet 80s floral dress is some discoloration to the label from the manufacturer’s number sticker still affixed underneath, and a small red pen mark, also on the label.
