Ordering
Ordering from our secure shopping cart is easy!
- Just click on the "Add to cart" button next to the item you wish to buy, and it will be added to your cart.
- When you are done shopping, click on the Shopping Cart and fill out the necessary information, including your credit card number and your address, to place your order.
- You will receive an automatic email confirmation to let you know your order has been received.
- Viva Vintage will send you an official confirmation email, usually within 1 business day, to let you know that we have shipped your order and the total charged to your card for your order including shipping costs, based on the weight of your purchases.
- If you have concerns about shipping costs, please request a shipping cost estimate (either via email before placing your order, or on your order form) and we will make sure to get confirmation from you accepting the shipping total before we ship. If you wish to purchase insurance for your order, let us know in the comments area provided on the order form, and we will include this in your order total. We recommended insuring your order, but we do not require your to do so. We are not responsible for any mishandling of your order, by the USPS or any other carrier. Please make any claims to them directly.
- We will ship your order promptly, generally within 2 business days, by USPS Priority Mail. If express shipping or another carrier is your preference, let us know when your original order request is placed and we will try to accomodate your request.
Placing orders by email
- Orders may also be placed by email, but DO NOT email us your credit card number.
- Send us an email with the inventory numbers and a description of the items you wish to order, and a phone number where you can be reached during the day. We will call you to get your credit card information.
- You may also place an order by phone. Call us at (847) 475-5025 and leave us a message about the items you are interested in purchasing, and the best time to call you back. We will contact you by phone to confirm your order and take your payment information.
- We will respond as quickly as possible (if you want us to call you, don't forget to leave your number on the message!). We are a small business--and multi-tasking is our middle name-but it may take us a day or 2 to respond during busy periods.
- We thank you in advance for your patience!
International orders
- International orders will be shipped USPS Priority Mail International unless otherwise requested. Please request a shipping estimate from us before placing your order, if you are unfamiliar with Priority Mail International shipping rates.
- For international orders over $100.00, we may require the name of the bank that issued your credit card and the phone number of the bank printed on the back of the card, for security purposes.
- International orders will be accepted on an individual basis. We reserve the right not to ship to certain countries, including but not limited to those countries under U.S. trade embargo.
- Please email us before placing an international order if you have any questions.
Payment options
Credit Card
- The easiest way to pay for your order is using a credit card and our secure shopping cart. We accept MasterCard and Visa. We also accept Paypal payments from Verified buyers with a Confirmed address.
Money Order
- We also accept payments by U.S. postal money order or Western Union money transfer. Choose the "Pay by Check" option in the shopping cart, and we will contact you with payment information. The money order must be issued in US dollars.
- Be aware that payments through Western Union or by postal money order will cause a delay in shipping, as we must receive your payment and cash it before the order will ship. Items awaiting payment by money order will be placed on "Hold" for up to 7 days from the placement of the order. If the payment has not been received at the end of 7 days, the items will be taken off hold and be available for others to purchase.
- Money orders should be made out to Viva Vintage Inc.
Order Security
Americart® is our shopping cart server, a secure eCommerce solution.
- Americart uses SSL Secure Socket Encryption to ensure that there is no breach of security or tampering with credit card information.
- Our Americart secure shopping cart is authenticated by VeriSign and is secured by a VeriSign SSL certificate that ensures that information is encrypted before transmission
- A URL (a web page address) that starts with "https" instead of "http" indicates that secure encryption is in place. When shopping with us, you will see that when you are asked for your credit card details, that you will be on the Americart secure server, and that the web address starts with a "https" and a "lock" symbol will appear at the bottom of your browser window.
Shipping to other than the billing address on your credit card
If you wish to have your order shipped to an address other than the billing address for your credit card, we may require additional information to ensure against credit card fraud. This is for your security as well as ours. You may be required to provide:
- The name of the bank that issued the credit card and the phone number of the bank printed on the back of the card.
- Other documentation required might include a faxed copy of your photo ID and the credit card in question.
Not all of this documentation may be required for every order, but we reserve the right to request any information we need to ensure fraud-free transactions for all of our customers.
NOTE: All Illinois residents will be charged applicable sales taxes.
