Description
A 2-tone inlaid wood brooch from the 1980s, this primitive-style mask pin combines blonde wood and ebony-black wood in a cool, half-and-half design. It’s flat, 2-dimensional quality seems at least somewhat inspired by the 80s Memphis Group art and design movement. The lightweight wood makes this a brooch that you can pin to almost anything. It is in very good, near excellent condition, with a few very light scuffs to the surface of the wood from normal use. I love this 80s wooden mask pin’s ambiguous expression: is it surprised, sarcastic, supercilious—you decide!
