If you are looking to make a statement with your vintage coat, you can’t do much better than this early 1960s spearmint blue-green Lilli Ann coat with cream fox fur collar! The unique and gorgeous, fuzzy-stripe-textured wool was woven by Blin et Blin in France for Lilli Ann. The swingy coat has soft, rounded shoulders, wide, elbow-length sleeves (to pair with long gloves, of course), and a gently flared shape from bust to hem. It is most fitted at the bust, shoulders, and upper arms, designed to fit loosely elsewhere. Under the soft and fluffy fox fur collar, a single covered button closes the coat in front. The collar is sewn on just below the round neckline of the coat, so that some of the wool fabric is visible there, unless the collar is worn turned up for added drama (as shown in 1 photo). The coat is lined with a grayish -tan rayon satin which was probably once sage green, but has faded with age. Other than the tiniest bit of fur shedding from the collar, this is the only issue to note with the lovely vintage coat. It is in very good condition—excellent aside from the lining color change. The fur collar is easily removeable for cleaning, being lightly tacked down in several spots on the wool collar underneath. The bright aqua shade--very close to Tiffany blue--of this early 1960s Lili Ann coat is so quintessentially mid-century!
Size: approx. S to possibly M, depending on your preferred fit and the amount of clothing worn underneath. Fit well on a modern 4 to 6 petite over a heavy sweater, for reference.
