Description

This soft and luxurious, oatmeal or beige cashmere beaded cardigan sweater from the 1950s or early 1960s is adorned with copper glass seed beading and larger faceted beads in a floral design. The beaded trim encircles the ribbed knit edges of the round neckline and extends down the front opening. The front bodice, back of the neck, and hem are beautifully beaded too! The three-quarter-length sleeves and the waist-length hem are also finished with ribbed knit. The cardigan has no fastenings, and was intended for a slightly loose fit through the bust, but is more fitted at the hem, ending just below the natural waist. The body of the sweater is lined with cream rayon chiffon fabric over an under-lining of cream mesh or netting. The sleeves are unlined. In excellent condition, this mid-century beaded cashmere cardigan sweater has no issues to note. It will add some true vintage glamour to any outfit, worn layered over your favorite dress or top!
