Description

A deadstock 1950s or early 1960s cardigan in a cropped length, this black ribbed knit bolero-style sweater will look great over your favorite dresses, hitting at about the natural waist when worn. The knit is medium-weight cotton, and should be a comfortable layer for all but the very hottest days. The deep V-neckline, elbow-length sleeves, and hem are all edged with a band of matching ribbed trim. 3 gold-tone metal buttons fasten the cardigan in front, from underbust to waist. In excellent to mint condition, unworn, this summer-weight, cropped black cardigan sweater is a classic mid-century style! The cute original hangtag (still attached at the neck with a safety pin) has a fun design of a vintage washing machine.

The sweater is labeled a vintage size small. Based on the measurements, I think the cardigan will fit approximately a modern XS-S, depending on your preferred snugness of fit. The knit has a bit of stretch to it, but not a huge amount (see measurements range). This cute 1950s-60s cropped cardigan sweater is in mint condition, unworn, with no issues to note.
