Description
This black velvet bolero jacket from the late 1980s has big shoulder pads, for added drama! The acetate and rayon velvet is soft and medium-weight, unlined except for taffeta interfacing around the edges of the curved front opening and on the waist-length back hem. The bracelet-length sleeves are slightly tapered, with small gathers at the tops of the shoulders. This plush black velvet 80s bolero style jacket has no fastenings, and was designed to be layered over a fancy cocktail or evening dress--but it will look great over jeans and a tee, too!
In very good condition, the jacket has some fading at the edges of the underarms, seen clearly from the underside, but hard to notice from the front side of the fabric when worn (see photos). The jacket has been freshly hand-washed, and has no odors or other issues to note.
