Both comfy and cute, this butterflies novelty print nightgown in nylon tricot dates from the late 1960s or early 1970s. The deeply scooped neckline has wide straps and is trimmed with self-fabric piping. Lots of gathers below the neckline add fullness to its loose-fitting A-line shape, from bust to hem. The butterfly print in bright pink, orange, and yellow is vibrant and cheerful, against a cream-colored background. The unlined, lightweight nylon knit fabric has a slinky feel and is just barely opaque. The nightgown will pull on over your head, with no fastenings. It is labeled a vintage size large.
Freshly laundered and in excellent condition, this late 1960s or early 70s, true vintage nightie could also be worn as a dress, if you like!
