Vibrant, colorful stripes of crochet knit wool make this 70s maxi skirt quite eye-catching! Black, hot pink, lilac, and royal blue horizontal stripes alternate in the mid-weight wool knit, which is semi-sheer due to its pattern. The small holes knit into the pattern will appear larger where the skirt fits more tightly: over the hips in particular, as shown on my mannequin. The skirt is fitted from the elastic waist to hips, then flaring gently from below the hips to the hem, giving it an overall trumpet shape. Based on how the elastic band at the waist is attached, I’d guess that the skirt was home made, although the crochet is nicely done! It is in excellent condition with no flaws to note, recently dry-cleaned and ready to wear. Add black tights underneath (or pink, or purple!) this bright striped 70s crochet wool maxi skirt to keep yourself warm and cozy, like wearing your favorite afghan blanket!
