Description
This deadstock, red and blue border print necktie from the early 1950s features an abstract design in icy blue that reminds me of diamonds—and diamond rings! The rayon satin fabric has a subtle dice or dots and squares texture woven into its surface. The tie has the traditional, undyed wool interlining for shape and body, and a white rayon taffeta lining. It is in mint condition, unworn, with its original paper label.
As was typical of men’s ties from the era, this bold print, swing-era early 50s necktie is relatively wide and short, meant to pair well with higher-waisted pants and suits. The fun print is called “Border Fantasy”. Its pristine condition makes this the perfect vintage tie for gifting!
