Description
Choose from an assortment of 17 pieces of deadstock 1920s or early 1930s dressmaking or millinery trims made of sparkling clear rhinestones prong set in metal backings. All but 1 of these trims (number 6) are slightly flexible and relatively lightweight, great for sewing onto a dress, belt, hat or other item of clothing. Of course, you will need to bend them gently if needed, since they are nearly 100 years old.
These lovely rhinestone appliqués can be used to trim a true vintage item already in your collection, or to add deco-era glam to your next vintage-inspired sewing project. You could also combine several of them to create a fabulous bridal headpiece, I’d imagine. So many options! Order one piece or several, by choosing from the list. Because I do have multiples of some appliqué styles, you can adjust the desired quantity in the shopping cart, once you have each item added.
- All but number 3-dark and number 6 are set in silver-tone metal backings.
- Number 3-dark is set in a black japanned metal setting.
- Number 6 is set in a somewhat heavier weight, gold-tone metal setting, and is the only piece in the set that is not slightly flexible, as noted above.
All are unused and in excellent condition, except one of the leaf shaped appliqués (labeled number 1 - as is), which has one rhinestone which is darkened.
Here are the size details for each piece:
- Number 1: arrow shape is 2.5 by 1.5 inches.
- Number 2: three-lobed flower or water lily shape is 2.25 by 2.25 inches.
