Description
This early 1960s black faux fur coat with fabulous texture is heavy-weight enough to keep you toasty warm, as well as chic! The coat has a boxy, loose fit everywhere except the shoulders and upper arms, which are narrower, as is often the case with 1960s coats. The three-quarter-length sleeves are wide and straight, with a satin lining gathered at the hem, to help keep you a bit warmer. You will want to pair the coat with long gloves, in true 1960s fashion! The large collar is layered over a narrower, round neckline. The coat buttons in front with 3 large, black satin cord covered buttons, plus a smaller button hidden under the collar. Ther are 2 slit pockets, one at each hip. The coat is fully lined in black acetate satin. The black lamb-textured faux fur is a bit stiff, adding to the overall boxy shape of the coat. I estimate the coat will fit a modern small to medium, depending on what you wear under it. It fits me (modern S 4/6) fairly well over a bulky sweater. This stylish 1960s faux fur coat is in excellent condition, with no issues to note.
