Description
This circa 1930s deco-era cuff bracelet in tortoise-colored celluloid has 5 laminated rows of wider stripes separated by narrower, cream-colored stripes. The bracelet is designed to either slide on over the hand, or expand slightly to slip over the wrist. It does not expand much, and I’d estimate that it will slide on over the hand up to a size similar to mine (modern XS-S, or 6.5-7 glove size). If stretched slightly to fit over the wrist it will easily fit a modern size S wrist. The bracelet measures 7.5 inches from end to end, with a small central gap, for reference. The lovely shades of dark brown, rust, and honey gold are marbled in the translucent plastic, quite similar to real tortoiseshell. This 1930s celluloid cuff bracelet is in very good condition, with several teeny-tiny chips along one outer edge, which will be difficult to notice when it is worn (see close-up photo).
