Description
A dream of a dress in dark blue knit wool jersey, this 80s cocktail dress channels a 1940s femme fatale! Large, squared-off shoulder pads add drama to the turtleneck bodice. A diagonal drape wraps over the under-layer of jersey fabric, curving down from the right shoulder to the left hip where it is gathered into an appliquéd square of navy-blue dyed snakeskin, before curving down to the right side hem. This creates the look of a wrap dress, although the draped fabric is sewn down and cannot be unwrapped. The bracelet-length sleeves are tapered to the hem. The mid-weight jersey fabric is very slightly sheer, and unlined. It does have some stretch to it, as shown in my range of measurements. The dress fastens in back with nylon zipper. My last 2 photos show the dress unpinned from the mannequin, to give a better idea of its actual size. Freshly dry-cleaned and ready to wear, this body-skimming, midnight blue knit wool 80s dress is in excellent condition, with no issues to note.
