Description
A space-age, late 1950s circle pin in genuine copper by Renoir, this swirl brooch is a versatile and lovely classic of vintage costume jewelry. The light-weight pin is hollow—so it is light enough to pin onto dresses as well as coats and jacket lapels. The front of the pin is made of polished copper, with a bright, shiny finish; the back has a matte finish with the usual dark patina where the pinback is soldered on. It is signed “Renoir” with a copyright mark, dating it to after 1954. It is in very good condition, with some light scratches to the surface from normal wear.
