This white glass seed beaded 1950s clutch evening bag is a petite but lovely little vintage handbag, perfect for evening wear if you don’t need to carry too much! (It will not hold a large cell phone, for example…good excuse to go phone-free for a night?) It would also be a sweet “something old” for a bride to carry. The bag has a rigid metal frame covered in beading, with a silver-tone metal kiss clasp set with clear rhinestones. The tiny glass beads are sewn on in a pretty swirl pattern.
The bag is lined with cream rayon satin that shows some minor marks from normal use, inside only. It is in very good condition, with no other issues to note. The label inside this beaded 1950s clutch bag is from Best and Co., a famous American department store on Fifth Avenue in New York which was founded in 1879, and sadly closed in 1971.
