This pair of 1950s clown “scatter pins” or novelty pins are 100% not scary, I promise! The clowns have tiny smiling faces and ruffle-trimmed, polka dotted costumes, picked out in pink, purple, and black enamel on the shiny gold-tone metal. Each clown is juggling 3 balls of pink and purple moonglow lucite, glued onto the metal settings. In very good condition, the pins have 2 small issues to note: the loss of black enamel on 1 clown’s eye, and some yellowed glue visible around the edges of the lucite balls. Neither significantly detracts from the wearabilty—or the essential cuteness—of these tiny 1950s clown brooches. They have a nice, heavyweight feel for their small size, and are quite well made.
