This tiki-party-ready, purple floral print, 1960s Hawaiian dress is made of the cotton blend fabric often called barkcloth. The bold colors include purple, hot pink, avocado, 2 shades of blue, and cream. The empire waist, sleeveless bodice features a ruffled neckline, with a bow at its center. The skirt is gently flared from waist to hem, with pleats adding fullness at the back waist seam. It will be midi or maxi length, depending on the wearer’s height. The dress is unlined and fastens with a plastic zipper in back. Next to the top of the zipper are several tiny pulls or runs in the fabric, which are unlikely to be noticed when the dress is worn. It is in very good condition, with no other issues to note. The groovy, abstract Hawaiian floral print fabric feels crisp and like new.
