Description
A sweet little 1960s pillbox hat is made of shiny black raffia straw, attached to a black fabric ring-shaped base and accented by a polka-dotted veil. This smaller-sized pillbox has a flat top and is designed to sit up and back on the head—think Jackie Kennedy’s early 1960s style. The eye-length veil is made of stiff, wide-gauge mesh with fuzzy velvet dots scattered over it. The acetate or acetate blend fabric and straw base is lined with stiff black lace and has 2 small combs attached to its inner grosgrain band. This black straw 60s mini pillbox hat is in very good to excellent condition. Its only issue to note is some crinkling to the mesh of the veil from that hat’s long storage. I did my best to press it flat without damaging the fuzzy velvet polka dots.
