Description

A deadstock 1960s short-sleeved sheath dress in bright neon green acetate jersey knit, this versatile style can go from day to evening with ease—and maybe a change of accessories! The gently hourglass-shaped dress has curved seaming from bust to waist, with cute little bows and small gathers under the partial waist seams at each side. The knee-length skirt is relatively straight, flaring out just a bit from hips to hem. Vertical darts shape the bodice and skirt in back.

The slinky, mid-weight jersey knit fabric has a bit of stretch to it (see measurements), and is unlined. It is very slightly sheer if stretched, so you may want to wear a slip underneath. The dress fastens in back with metal zipper. My last photo shows the dress unclipped from the mannequin, to give a better idea of its actual size.

Unworn with its original hangtag, the dress is in very good condition, with one small scuff or flaw in the knit fabric from its long storage, located at the left front waist (see close-up photo). It’s bold, bright green color makes this 1960s sheath dress quite a standout!
