Description
This 1940s handbag is made of wool plush fabric in a shade between chocolate brown and burgundy. The soft, velvety fabric body of the purse is unstructured, hanging from a gold-tone metal frame trimmed with 3 carved wood cylinders. The central cylinder is a large, hinged clasp. The double-strand top handle is threaded through the other 2 wooden cylinders and fastened at the center with a gold-tone (probably brass) metal loop. The purse is lined with 2 shades of burgundy rayon taffeta, with a single slip pocket inside. This WWII-era, 1940s vintage handbag is in excellent condition, with no issues to note. The blonde wood trim on the frame is a lovely and unique detail!
