Description

A fabulous novelty print necktie from the 1940s, this lightweight wool tie features a bold design of saguaro cacti! The burgundy red background contrasts nicely with the cream, bright green and sky blue cactus pattern. The tie has the traditional, undyed wool interlining for shape and body, but no other lining. In very good condition, it has 1 small mend at the front wide end (see close-up photo), which is not terribly noticeable. The tie has been dry-cleaned, and has no other issues to note.

As was typical of men’s ties from the era, this necktie is quite wide and short, meant to pair well with higher-waisted pants, double-breasted suits, and 3-piece suits with vests. Add a touch of western (or south-of-the-border) flare to your vintage look with this fun 1940s cactus tie!
