Description
This 1950s or early 60s full slip in crisp nylon taffeta is a pale shade of café au lait or light tan. The scalloped, sweetheart bodice and hem are embellished with floral and polka dot embroidery. An inverted V-shaped panel is set into the slip, from below the underbust seam to just above the natural waist, at the sides. Gathers above this panel add fullness to the bust. The satin ribbon straps adjust with metal buckles. The slip has a relatively narrow skirt, to fit under most pencil/hourglass-shaped and full skirts and dresses, making it very vesatile.
In excellent condition, this true vintage, mid-century slip has no flaws to note. It is labeled a size 36, and should fit approximately a modern size small to medium, depending on your preferred fit. See measurements below. Of course, the slip is pretty enough to wear as a dress too, if you like!
