Description
These bright blue ribbed cotton, deadstock early 1960s clamdiggers, pedal pushers, or shorter capris, are a classic summer cropped pant style! The leaf-patterned belt with matching bright blue trim that cinches the pants’ fitted waist adds some fun contrast. The pants have slightly tapered legs in a below-the-knee length, with small slits at each side seam. They fasten at the left side with a metal zipper and a single button at the waistband. A diagonal pocket sits just in front of each side seam. Vertical darts shape the hips in back. The pants have a relatively curvy, mid-century style shape, with a high, fitted waist, a long rise, and moderately full hips. I have shown the pant both unclipped and clipped to the mannequin, to give a better idea of actual size. The mid-weight, crisp cotton fabric has pronounced diagonal ribs and it is unlined. In excellent to mint condition, the pants have no issues to note. These true vintage early 1960s cropped clamdigger pants or pedal pushers were never worn and still have their original hangtag. The electric blue color is quite striking!
