This dark khaki or tan suede 70s zip-front jacket by Anne Klein and Company was never worn, with its original hangtags still attached! The medium-weight, “plush” suede is cowhide, with some natural markings and variations in texture, and a soft, velvety feel. The hip-length, fitted jacket has seaming to shape the bust and waist, and flares just slightly from waist to the high hip/hem.  It is fully lined with brown acetate crepe, and has no shoulder padding. It has a single chest pocket, and a round neckline. The long, narrow sleeves have zippers at the hems, similar to a motorcycle jacket. In very good condition, stored unworn and folded for a long time (since the 1970s!), the jacket has some overall creases in the suede which should improve with normal wear. It also has some light fade lines across the top of the shoulders and on the side of the left sleeve (see photos). This deadstock 70s Anne Klein suede jacket cost $180 originally, or just over $1000 in 2023 dollars. The tan suede is the perfect neutral, easy to wear with everything!
