This luscious cream satin 1960s tunic top or micro mini dress is mod-meets-luxe! Construction details include a rolled collar, long slightly tapered raglan sleeves, and curved patch pockets. The tunic or dress has a bit of flare from waist to hem, and is intended for a loose fit. Elegant covered buttons and loops fasten the sleeve cuffs, and there are darts at the back of each elbow. The crepe-backed satin fabric is medium weight, probably either acetate or a blend of acetate and rayon. In very good condition, the tunic has the remnants of thread belts loops just barely visible at the waist on each side. Also, the hem is just a bit more yellow in tone than the upper part of the top—likely to be less noticeable than it is in my photos, against my off-white mannequin’s “skin”. It is unlined and fastens in back with a nylon zipper. This off-white or cream satin 1960s tunic or mini dress would make a fun outfit for a bride at a rehearsal dinner or other wedding-adjacent event.
