Description
A classic mid-century-style frame handbag, this sage green vinyl top handle bag dates from the late 1950s or early 1960s. Wider than it is tall, the purse has 4 small metal feet on its base, to help it stand upright. The gold-tone metal frame closes with a kiss clasp. The purse is lined with navy blue rayon taffeta in a diamond-patterned jacquard weave.
The sides of the bag’s metal frame show some pitting/damage to the shiny gold surface, probably from being stored in a basement or other humid environment. This does not affect its usability at all, and should not be terribly noticeable. The stylish, streamlined 1950s-60s bag appears unused, the inside pristine. The only other issue to note is a small kink in the top handle from its long storage.
