Description

This black silk skinny necktie from the late 1950s or early 1960s has a tiny embroidered design of 3 scimitars or curved swords in white. The swords embroidery is inside a subtle black shield-shape woven into the stripe-textured silk satin fabric. An additional black-on-black version of the scimitars design is faintly visible in the fabric weave, if you look closely. The tie has a cream or off-white taffeta lining which is discolored (see close-up photos), but this issue is not at all visible from the front side of the tie when it is worn. It is in very good condition, with no other issues to note, freshly dry-cleaned and ready to wear.

Pair this classic mid-century tie with a sharkskin suit and crisp white shirt for the perfect, Mad Men-inspired vintage menswear look. Or, wear it in a more casual, 80s-inspired-style, with a brightly colored shirt. This true vintage skinny tie is a wardrobe staple!
