Description

This peach-toned pink late 1930s or early 1940s bias-cut rayon satin nightgown is a column of loveliness that may too pretty to wear only at home! The sleeveless bodice features delicate, vine-patterned embroidery plus embroidered, scalloped trim around its V-neckline. Small gathers below the curved underbust seam add fullness to the chest area. Below that seam, the nightgown will skim over your curves, with plenty of give to the bias-cut satin. The fit through the hip area is proportionally a bit smaller than the bust and waist. (See range of measurements, below.) 2 skinny ties at the underbust/high waist can be used to cinch the gown in back. The slinky, lightweight satin fabric is unlined, and the night gown will pull on over the head, with no fastenings. It is labeled a vintage size M. This true vintage, pink satin 1930s-40s bias-cut nightgown could also be worn as an evening dress, if you like!

In very good condition, freshly cleaned and ready to wear, the nightgown does have several small water-stains on the back, below the hips. These should not be too noticeable when it is worn, (not at all visible depending on the lighting), but are worth noting. Please see my close-up photo.
