If you’ve ever been on the lookout for a furry crown—this 1940s headband halo hat in dark brown mouton (sheep) fur and brown felt is your answer! The flexible headband is enclosed in chocolate brown fur felt, and the tall, furry front “crown” is backed with the same material. The pointed/scalloped crown frames the face like half a halo. I am not sure what the headband is made of, but it feels like metal, as well as I can tell without opening the felt covering to see it. This cold-weather fascinator style 1940s hat will pair well with your favorite fall and winter vintage looks. It is in very good condition, with some slightly messy stitching on the headband covering, but no real issues to note. However, it is definitely meant for an extra small head size. I am a size 21.5-22, and it is a bit tight on my head. The headband is quite flexible, so perhaps it could be stretched/trained to fit better for a larger size? Currently XS-S is my best guess to avoid headband headaches!
