Description

A deadstock, unworn 70s skirt by American designer Anne Klein, this chalk stripe gray and white wool flannel A-line skirt is reminiscent of a finely tailored men’s suit. The skirt has a fitted waistband with small belt loops, fastening with a front nylon zip fly below a single metal hook. It is flared to the hem, with additional fullness created a wide inverted pleat at the center front. The skirt has 2 curved pockets in front—hooray for pockets! It is fully lined with gray acetate taffeta. The striped flannel is a soft shade of gray with a hint of taupe, more of a warm than a cool gray tone. Never worn, with its original tags still attached, this mid-weight pinstripe wool 70s skirt by Anne Klein is in excellent to mint condition, with no issues to note. It cost $104 when purchased in the 1970s—or about $650 in today’s money!
