Description

This genuine Milan straw, late 1950s or early 1960s men’s fedora-style hat by Adam is a rich cocoa brown shade. The teardrop-shaped, pinched oval crown measures about 4.75 inches tall/deep. The brim is a medium width, at 2.25 inches wide. The tan leather inner band is hand-stitched on to the straw crown. The 2-tone straw is a bit lighter on the outside of the crown and upper side of the brim than it is on the underside, perhaps intentionally, but more likely fading from age. This looks pretty cool, however! In very good condition, the hat is also missing its original hatband—probably pleated fabric, originally. This could be replaced easily with whatever band style you prefer, but the hat is priced accordingly. There is also 1 small tear in the leather of the leather sweatband. It is sturdy and clean, and totally wearable. This true vintage, mid-century men’s chestnut brown straw fedora is marked “Genuine Milan” and size 7 1/8 on the underside of the inner leather band.
