Description
This wide-brimmed 1950s navy blue straw hat features a pleated cockade of blue rayon velvet ribbon to match its narrow hatband. The same blue velvet trims the top/outer edge of the wide brim. A quirky, red-velvet-covered wired accent sticks out from the center of the cockade, like an antenna. (The 2 larger pearl pins stuck into the cockade look like tiny eyes, with the red trim as a tongue!) The flexible braided straw is a less-saturated navy blue than the velvet trim. It is a bit lighter in my photos than in real life, to better show detail. The shallow, rounded crown of the hat fits best sitting straight on the top of the head as shown, although you could tilt it more forward if you prefer. The hat is unlined aside from an inner grosgrain ribbon band. This wide-brimmed 1950s summer straw sunhat in versatile navy blue will be great for wearing to a garden party or summer wedding! It is in excellent condition.
