Description

Costume jewelry stamped “Hollywood” like this chunky link bracelet from the late 1950s or early 60s, was made in Birmingham (UK) by the Bloxidge Brothers. The company was in business from 1918 through the early 1970s or so, and most of their stock was sold via Woolworths, according to several sources I have seen. So not high-end, but nice quality! This particular mid-century link bracelet features 8 green agate stone oval cabochons in ornate floral, dark silver-tone metal settings. The stones are slightly translucent in some sections, when the open-back settings are held up to the light. (It’s hard to capture this in photos while the bracelet is lying down, but visible in person.) The flexible link bracelet is relatively heavy-weight in feel, between the agate stones and the solid metal settings. It fastens with a hinged clasp, and is in very good to excellent condition. The metal settings have just a bit of wear to their silvery finish, from normal use.

  • Length: 7 inches long total, to fit best for max 6.5 inch wrist. (Each link measures .5 inch by 1 inch.)
  • Width: 1 inch.
  • Label: Hollywood
