Description
These late 1950s or early 1960s pearl-beaded gloves are made of lightweight, off-white nylon with a bit of stretch to it for comfort. The glove hem ends at about mid-forearm, several inches below the wrist. The upper side of the gloves is trimmed with tiny white glass seed beads which become more numerous as they reach the hem. A triangular section of more dense beading at the hem is accented with larger, dark cream pearl beads. The true vintage pearl-trimmed gloves are labeled a size 6.5, or around a modern XS to S. I have included 2 photos with the gloves on my size 7 hands for reference: they do fit, but are a tiny bit snug. In very good condition, the off-white gloves are a little bit yellowed uniformly/all over from their long storage, but have no other issues to note.
I do have a very similar pair (G69) available in a slightly larger size (7), and a slightly different color (more creamy ivory than off-white), listed here. See my last photo for a color comparison.
