Description
This neon orange floral print Hawaiian dress from the mid 1960s is made of acrylic barkcloth fabric. The royal purple, yellow, and gold daisies print really pops against the dayglo orange background! The sleeveless bodice has a wide neckline that dips lower in back, a fitted empire waist seam (high waist) and bust darts for shaping. Below the high waist, the dress has small gathers to create a bit of fullness at the natural waist and hip area. A cute little bow trims the left front waist. The nearly-straight skirt portion of the dress is a wrap style, overlapping on the front left side. The crisp barkcloth fabric is unlined. A nylon zipper closes the dress at the center back.
In very good condition, this groovy 1960s mini dress has 1 issue to note: the top of one shoulder is faded from storage. The other shoulder looks much better (see close-up photos). This fading is fairly hard to notice when the dress is worn. Perfect for dancing the night away under a blacklight, or your next trip to the tiki bar, this bright orange mid-1960s Hawaiian dress will make quite an impression!
